Hayes Promoted at Mutual of Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (Aug. 13, 2020) – Alex Hayes has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Business Resiliency at Mutual of Omaha. 

Hayes leads and coordinates the cataloging of critical business functions and processes across the enterprise and facilitates cross operational prioritization to ensure obligations and promises to Mutual of Omaha customers are fulfilled. He also facilitates and directs the development, implementation, training, testing, tracking, metrics and maintenance of corporate-wide operational BC/DR plans, resiliency strategy and implementation. Hayes will continue to lead the corporate physical security and safety and insider risk programs. 

Hayes joined Mutual of Omaha in 2013 as the Director of Corporate Physical Security. He was promoted to Vice President of Physical Security/Business Continuity in 2015. Before joining Mutual of Omaha, Hayes served as Chief of Police for the City of Omaha, where he retired with more than 25 years of service.   

Hayes received his bachelor’s degree from Bellevue University.    

Hayes is involved with several community organizations including the Omaha Police Foundation and the Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy. He also serves on the Mutual of Omaha Foundation board.
