Edward J. Bonach Elected to Mutual of Omaha Board of Directors

OMAHA, Neb. – Edward J. Bonach, who served as Chief Executive Officer of CNO Financial Group, Inc., from 2011 until his retirement in 2017, has been elected to the Mutual of Omaha Board of Directors, Chairman and CEO James Blackledge announced.

Bonach joined CNO Financial in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer and was named CEO in 2011. CNO Financial offers health and life insurance as well as retirement solutions through its Banker’s Life, Colonial Penn and Washington National companies.

Prior to joining CNO Financial, Bonach served as CFO of National Life Group from 2002 until 2007 and spent 23 years at Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America, where he last served as President of several business units.

Bonach earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in mathematics from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst.
