Mutual of Omaha Announces Leadership Appointments

Omaha, Neb. (August 31, 2015) – Mutual of Omaha CEO James Blackledge recently announced the following senior leadership appointments:

Dan Martin has been named Executive Vice President, Individual and Group Insurance. In his new role, Martin will lead both the Individual Financial Services and Group Benefit Services business units.

Martin, who began his insurance career as an actuarial assistant at Mutual of Omaha in 1983, held leadership positions at Guarantee Mutual, B&S Underwriters and Premiere Risk Management before returning to Mutual in 2001. He served as Vice President, Group Special Risk, and Senior Vice President, Group Financial and Product Management, before being named Executive Vice President, Group Benefit Services in 2003.

Martin earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Mike Lechtenberger has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer. He will oversee all of the company’s technology, applications and systems infrastructure.

Lechtenberger joined Mutual as an entry-level programmer in 1986 and has held a variety of leadership roles in the Information Services operation, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, I/S Applications

Lechtenberger received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and his master’s in business administration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. He holds the Fellow Life Management Institute designation.

Stephanie Pritchett has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. In this role, she will lead Mutual’s consumer marketing efforts and build a strategic marketing team.

Pritchett joins Mutual from The Hartford Financial Services Group, where she was Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer. She has also held senior marketing positions at USAA and Washington Mutual Bank.

Pritchett earned her bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College and her master’s in business administration from Babson College.
