How Your Plan Works: Deductibles and Cost Sharing
What can you expect to pay when you fill a prescription? That depends on your plan’s deductible and cost sharing provisions. Let’s start with the basics. Your deductible is the amount you pay out-of-pocket before the plan begins paying. Cost sharing is either the copayment or coinsurance amount you pay after the deductible is satisfied.
You walk out of the doctor’s office, new prescription in hand. Now, you need to figure out where to go to fill it. Here’s an easy way to find a network pharmacy and verify the cost of your prescription drug. Go to MutualofOmaha.com/prescription-drug-plan/find-a-drug. Click “find my medicine” in the online formulary section.
