New York Paid Family Leave (PFL)  

Allows for paid leave while caring for family members. A family member includes bonding with a child in the first year and caring for a spouse, domestic partner, child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, parent in-law, grandparent and grandchild. Employees may also take PFL when a spouse, domestic partner, child or parent is called to active military service or has been notified of impending deployment.

New York Disability Benefits Law (DBL)  

Paid disability leave to employees when they suffer an injury or illness off-the-job.

New York Benefits Overview  

  • 12 weeks of paid leave
  • 67% of employee’s weekly pay
  • Benefit maximum is $1,151.16 per week

New York DBL

  • Up to $170 per week benefit

A total of 26 weeks for New York DBL and New York PFL is allowed.
