Join the Financial & Strategic Enterprise Risk Management team as a Manager of Risk Management. We are seeking a collaborative and action-oriented individual to lead and execute activities supporting management of the organization’s risks, with a focus on the financial and strategic risks.  The ideal candidate is a dynamic individual who enjoys solving problems, driving solutions, and possesses a creative and continuous-improvement mindset.  This role will be integral in strengthening our risk culture, further developing foundational risk management elements, and supporting the organization in sound risk-reward decision making. 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $112,000 - $151,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead and execute risk management activities aligned to the organization’s risk framework and three lines of defense model. 
  • Identify and assess risks, evaluate control environments, identify solutions, and monitor outcomes by leveraging business acumen, subject matter experience, and qualitative and quantitative analysis. 
  • Collaborate with business partners to map processes and identify risks, develop resolutions, and ensure timely implementation of mitigants. 
  • Manage and develop risk staff while overseeing risk assessments, analysis, reporting, and issue escalation. 
  • Ability to evaluate current macroeconomic, regulatory, or emerging issues and trends, monitor controls, identify a path to solution and execute a plan to manage risk. 
  • Use data, analytics, technology, and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement and risk-informed decision making. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, audit, compliance, or risk oversight, with leadership experience. 
  • Strong financial risk or risk management background with the ability to evaluate frameworks, controls, and assess impact (non-IT focused).
  • Solid understanding of macroeconomic and regulated environments. 
  • Proven ability to influence leaders, partner across teams, and communicate clearly and confidently. 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Background in insurance industry is strongly preferred, but not required.
