Mutual of Omaha is seeking a Manager Segment Marketing Insights and Strategy to join our Health & Annuities team. This role requires a strategic, insights-driven professional with a strong foundation in customer research, brand planning, and marketing analytics. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience translating qualitative and quantitative data into meaningful business strategies, uncovering customer and marketplace trends, and evaluating marketing performance to drive measurable results. Successful candidates excel at leading complex initiatives with minimal oversight, influencing stakeholders at all levels, and collaborating creatively across teams and agency partners. A mastery of modern insights tools, segmentation methodologies, and data storytelling is essential, along with the ability to both develop others and contribute at a senior strategic level.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $97,000 - $134,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Leads the development of segment-specific go-to-market strategies by synthesizing consumer insights, competitive intelligence, marketplace trends, and business objectives into clear, actionable plans.
  • Translates complex business needs into strategic marketing direction, using qualitative and quantitative research, segmentation, and customer-journey insights to drive growth and inform product, messaging, and positioning decisions
  • Delivers compelling, executive-ready presentations that tell a clear story, influence decision-making, and proactively shape marketing and business strategies.
  • Builds high-impact partnerships with agencies, research vendors, and internal stakeholders to elevate insight quality, foster innovation, and ensure data-driven decisions across the business.
  • Develops and leads a high-performing team, managing budgets, ensuring the right methodologies and metrics are in place, and cultivating an accountable, forward-thinking, and inclusive work environment.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5+ years of experience in qualitative and quantitative customer research, with deep expertise in brand planning, innovation, insights development, and integrating both syndicated and primary data.
  • Proven ability to evaluate marketing performance and ROIuncover emerging customer, competitor and marketplace intelligence and trends, and translate complex research into clear, actionable business insights. 
  • Skilled relationship-builder and influencer, capable of leading cross-functional teams, agency partners, and large-scale initiatives from ideation through execution with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced command of insights tools and methodologies, including segmentation, demand spaces, concept testing, message/positioning development, ethnographic research, and advertising effectiveness measurement.
  • Exceptional data storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize diverse data sources, apply statistical and experimental design knowledge, and guide or develop others in delivering impactful insights.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Insurance or Financial Services background is preferred
