Senior Financial Accounting Analyst – Corporate Accountant

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

• Estimated Salary: $80,000-$90,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
• Own and review balance sheet account reconciliations, including intercompany, valuation, reserve, and suspense related accounts.
• Identify and lead process improvement opportunities focused on efficiency, standardization, and strengthened controls.
• Maintain and execute reconciliation controls, including out-of-balance analysis and verification procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a fast‑paced environment. 
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
• You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
• Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 5–10% annually) to attend Finance and Actuarial events (travel reimbursed).  
• Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

• Insurance or financial services industry experience.
• Experience with OneStream or similar financial consolidation systems.
• Prior experience supporting audits or system implementations.
• Understanding of statutory and GAAP accounting principles, as well as insurance business processes.
• Technical aptitude to understand financial data flow across systems.
