Who doesn’t love a good before and after story? In the classic series, Marlin Perkins ventured to Maine to see how researchers were looking to reestablish the puffin at its former breeding sites. In the latest Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom Protecting the Wild episode, we return to Maine.

Peter and Dr. Rae travel to the stunning coastline of Maine to explore the playful world of puffins and witness the conservation program that’s fighting to save them. Along the way, they follow in the footsteps of the great Marlin Perkins who first featured puffins on Wild Kingdom back in 1979. While Peter travels to see puffin habitats on remote coastal islands, Dr. Rae visits the original conservationist who brought this species back to Maine and learns about the ongoing legacy of their success.
