What’s the Wild Revival Collection?

From Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom and Chia Pet, the Wild Revival Collection celebrates remarkable conservation stories and invites families to nurture a deeper appreciation for nature.

Which animals are in the collection?

The Wild Revival Collection features five species whose stories reflect the impact of conservation efforts around the world. Each package includes educational information about the featured animal and the conservation efforts to help protect it.

American bison

An American bison stands in tall grass on an open prairie. Beside it is a Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Chia Pet of a bison, its back and hump covered in sprouted green chia on a terracotta base.

Once driven to the brink of extinction, the American bison has made one of the greatest wildlife comebacks in North America thanks to decades of conservation efforts. It stands as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when people come together to protect wildlife.

Red panda

A red panda climbs through a bamboo thicket and holds a stalk in its paw while it eats. Beside it is a Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Chia Pet of a red panda on a tree branch, wrapped in sprouted green chia.

Red pandas face ongoing threats from habitat loss and fragmentation, but conservation organizations are working together to protect the forests they call home. Their story is a reminder that collaborative conservation can help secure a future for even the world’s most vulnerable species.

Sea otter

Two sea otters float side by side on calm ocean water. Beside them is a Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Chia Pet of a sea otter on its back holding a shell, resting on a bed of sprouted green chia.

Once hunted to near extinction, sea otters have made a remarkable comeback along parts of North America’s coastline. While they still face threats, continued conservation efforts are helping protect these beloved animals and the vital coastal ecosystems they support.

Sea turtle

A sea turtle swims over a coral reef with small blue and yellow fish in sunlit water. In front is a Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Chia Pet of a sea turtle, its shell grown over with green chia.

Sea turtles have spent millions of years navigating the world’s oceans, and thanks to decades of conservation, some populations have recovered. While many species and populations remain threatened, efforts to protect nesting beaches, reduce bycatch and restore habitats are helping more sea turtles survive and thrive.

Bald eagle

A bald eagle perches among green leaves in a forest. Beside it is a Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Chia Pet shaped like a bald eagle, its body covered in sprouted green chia on a terracotta base.

The bald eagle is one of America’s greatest conservation success stories. Once endangered, this iconic bird has rebounded through habitat protection, conservation efforts and species recovery programs, making it a lasting symbol of resilience.

Why a Chia Pet collection about wildlife?

These Chia Pets serve as reminders that protecting wildlife begins with small, intentional actions. Just as a Chia Pet flourishes with ongoing care, the Wild Revival Collection reflects Wild Kingdom’s belief that inspiring people to care about wildlife is the first step toward protecting it.

Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom’s research found that many people’s connection to nature starts with simple childhood experiences. From visiting the zoo or aquarium and exploring the outdoors to watching wildlife on television, those moments continue to shape how they think about wildlife today. Yet more than half of Americans believe today’s children are missing out on those kinds of formative experiences. The Wild Revival Collection gives families another way to discover the stories behind these remarkable animals, care for something together and continue the conversations that inspire a lifelong appreciation for wildlife.

How does the collection support conservation?

Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom will donate a portion of proceeds from every Wild Revival Collection Chia Pet sold to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), supporting its network and the conservation work they lead every day. Through AZA’s SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction program, conservation partners work together to protect threatened species, restore habitats and strengthen wildlife populations, helping create more successful conservation stories for generations to come.

Where can you get the Wild Revival Collection?

The limited-edition collection is available on chia.com for presale, and will soon be available on Amazon.com and at select AZA-accredited locations throughout the U.S. A limited supply is also available on our Wild Kingdom store.
