You’ll play a pivotal role in modernizing systems that are core to how we support our business and customers. Your contributions will improve operational efficiency, enable growth, and help deliver better experiences at scale.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):
    • Engineer II: $115,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Drive modernization initiatives by helping transition legacy mainframe systems to scalable, future-ready architectures.
  • Optimize and innovate compensation processes through thoughtful system design and expanded technology capabilities.
  • Build and deliver high-quality solutions with hands-on development, testing, and system integration.
  • Collaborate across teams to align technical solutions with enterprise-wide strategies and growth initiatives.
  • Solve complex challenges by translating business needs into efficient, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Champion engineering excellence through code reviews, best practices, and a focus on clean, testable code.
  • Mentor and support teammates, fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented engineering culture.
  • Influence technical direction and contribute ideas that shape the evolution of our platforms and tools.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • A passion for software engineering and system transformation, with an Agile mindset.
  • 2+ years of experience, including exposure to technical leadership or mentorship.
  • Experience working with mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL, CA7, DB2).
  • Strong SQL and data management skills, particularly with DB2.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • A collaborative approach with strong communication skills and a desire to work across teams.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, curiosity, and innovation.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Exposure to mainframe modernization strategies, including refactoring, replatforming, or integration with distributed systems
  • Experience working with Agile at scale (SAFe or similar frameworks)
  • Understanding of data integration and ETL processes, especially in hybrid (mainframe + modern stack) environments
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks, test-driven development (TDD), or behavior-driven development (BDD)
  • Strong performance tuning and optimization experience across both legacy and modern systems
  • Experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# in distributed or microservices-based environments
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud-native development practices
