You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of employer PFML absence and leave programs, including, FMLA, Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), parental and bonding leave, corporate paid leave, and ADA/PWFA accommodation processes. This role ensures that all implementations are executed with operational excellence, regulatory accuracy, and exceptional employer experience. You will lead a team of implementation consultants and analysts, driving our process standardization, partnering cross functionally to support evolving regulatory requirements, and ensures delivery of scalable solutions for large, multistate employer clients.

  • Estimated Salary: $115,000 - $135,000, plus annual bonus opportunity

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Oversee end-to-end implementation of PFML absence and leave programs from contract signing through post-implementation stabilization, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations (FMLA, PFML, statutory disability, ADA/PWFA, paid leave) and employer-specific policies across all implementations. 
  • Guide employers in designing and interpreting complex, multi-state leave programs, including bargaining agreements and supplemental offerings, while advising on best practices, operational readiness, and change management. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, consultants, and key stakeholders to support smooth, successful implementations and long-term partnership. 
  • Establish and enforce standards, templates, quality controls, and performance expectations; identify operational and compliance risks, monitor key metrics, and report progress to leadership. 
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Compliance, Legal, Underwriting, Claims, Billing, Enrollment, and technical teams to lead project-driven work, ensure accurate configuration and readiness, and maintain ongoing alignment; provide insights from implementation trends and client feedback to support product and regulatory updates. 
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing implementation team with a focus on talent selection, career growth, performance management, and succession planning, while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and a customer-centric culture. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Proven leadership experience in operations within experience implementing absence, disability, or leave management programs. 
  • Strong regulatory knowledge, including PFML, paid leave, FMLA, ADA/PWFA, and complex employer-specific policies. 
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through large, complex, multi-state employer implementations. 
  • Strong ability to interpret regulations, apply policy accurately, and guide employers through compliance-sensitive decisions with confidence. 
  • Experience designing and improving processes, establishing operational governance, and driving continuous improvement. 
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and project management skills, with the ability to manage complexity and competing priorities. 
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts for clients, brokers, cross-functional partners, and senior leadership.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience within a carrier, TPA, or HR technology environment supporting absence solutions
  • Familiarity with claims, enrollment, EDI, and related group benefits operational functions
  • Experience supporting product development, market expansion, or regulatory readiness workstreams
