This role is responsible for managing the company's investor relations strategy, M&A efforts, and capital markets, with the primary goals of ensuring delivering appropriate deal structures and financing to provide the best economics for the enterprise.

  • Estimated Salary: $123,000-$190,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead all aspects of investor relations with Funding Agreement Backed Note investors, senior debt and surplus note. This will include development of materials and communications, answering ad-hoc questions, leading roadshow meetings, investor update calls, and managing rating agency relationships. 
  • Lead financial analysis and strategic transactions, evaluating mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. Conduct financial modeling, valuation analysis, and risk assessments to support decision-making.  
  • Oversee projects, processes, and analyses, identifying trends, risks, and key indicators to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to management. Ensure the timely and accurate execution of financial and non-financial initiatives.
  • Maintains key bank relationships and develop an opportunity pipeline to identify new business opportunities to support future growth. Develops and presents business cases that recommend strategies, partnerships, and product growth activities in alignment with existing strategies.
  • Coordinate with Legal to develop and review key company legal agreements, including company debt programs such as Surplus Notes, Senior Debt and FABNs.
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration and due diligence, engaging with leadership, external partners, and internal teams to align strategies, develop business cases, and execute strategic initiatives. 
  • Monitor and research capital markets to recommend strategies to raise capital, financing, and borrowing to support overall business goals and objectives.
  • Drive process improvements and knowledge sharing, fostering a collaborative environment by mentoring others, streamlining business processes, and enhancing efficiencies across enterprise functions. 
 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • 5 years of investment banking, corporate development, capital markets and / or investor relations experience.
  • Financial modeling skills preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably with math / business / finance / economics focus.
  • Accounting Expertise: Deep understanding of statutory and GAAP financial accounting principles.
  • Proven problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong process improvement and project management abilities.
  • Strong executive-level communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills to work effectively across all areas of the business.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  •  Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a finance-related field. Designations such as CPA, CFA, or FRM preferred but not required. 
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and/or financial services is beneficial, though experience across various industries is also welcome.
