The Enterprise Procurement team at Mutual of Omaha consists of Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, and Purchasing. This role would be placed on the Strategic Sourcing team, which supports the enterprise in making best value purchasing decisions through formal selection, vetting, negotiation, and contracting of potential & current suppliers. (i.e. RFI, RFP, Contract Renewals, etc.). 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications) 
    • Sourcing Specialist: $65,000-$75,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Sr. Sourcing Specialist: $73,000-$85,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support or lead strategic sourcing events in collaboration with stakeholders, and business partners. This includes conducting internal & external research, performing spend data analytics, assemble & perform RFx's.
  • Assist in the development of category strategies for specific groups and services using General Ledger expense information.
  • Ability to create reports in Excel using advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, building charts and graphs and presentations in PowerPoint with professional design.
  • Responsible for the monthly coordination and reporting of Enterprise Procurement statistics and metrics.
  • Support procurement policy management, process improvements, reporting, and training & education efforts contributing to an effective and efficient procurement organization. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Robust organization skills in tracking current and upcoming responsibilities.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or similarly related areas.
  • Seasoned experience in participating on (and directing when requested) project work groups including suppliers, customers, and other resources.
  • High proficiency in analytics using Microsoft Office and ERP for procurement and supply chain management, preferably Oracle PeopleSoft.
