It was such a unique idea, producing a show called Wild Kingdom, teaching people about protecting and preserving our national forests and prairies and wild lands.
Our wildlife now more than ever needs conservation.

What we hope to be showing you on the new Wild Kingdom is some of the successes.
There were less than a thousand bison at one point. What are the numbers now?
About 65,000 head of bison.
He was a scientific breakthrough - the first ever wolf born from artificial insemination for Mexican wolves.
There's no greater feeling than to get an animal healthy and to let it go back into a wild area such as this, and we should be doing everything we can to protect.
I can see it working and I think that's what we need.
