As a Group Benefits Calculation Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy of disability benefit claim calculations in a fast-paced production environment. Your accuracy in disability benefit claim calculations directly impacts the organization by ensuring financial integrity, maintaining compliance, and fostering trust with claimants and stakeholders.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Assoc Group Benefits Calculation Specialist: $21.25 - $27.00, plus annual bonus opportunity 
  • Group Benefits Calculation Specialist: $53,040 - $66,000, plus annual bonus opportunity 
  • Senior Group Benefits Calculation Specialist: $59,800 -  $76,000, plus annual bonus opportunity  
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Completing complex calculations for Short Term and Long Term claims. 
  • Take initiative to resolve outstanding overpayments for STD/LTD claims.
  • Responsible for daily earnings calculations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of disability income. 
  • Manage daily and monthly financial accuracy checks to keep processes smooth and error-free. 
  • Build strong connections by promptly responding to inquiries and fostering effective working relationships. 
  • Excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment where your contributions drive real impact. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Demonstrates a pro-active inclination to maintain strong controls to financial leakage/mitigate operational risk.
  • Prior experience being proactive by following up with customers on unpaid accounts and identifying payment solutions, consistent with policy.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills 
  • Attention to detail, organizations skills and desire to learn and grow 
  • Proficiency using MS Excel and Word and the ability to navigate multiple systems 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-output production environment.
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • 3-5 years financial group disability experience including BWE/BME Calculations, Partial Calculations, Offsets and File Recalculations. 
  • Bachelor’s degree   
  • Experience using FINEOS system
