Mutual of Omaha is currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team.  As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring tax compliancy related to payroll taxes is met for both Federal and State entities as well as other high-level accounts payable and reconciliation functions within the Disbursement team.

  • Estimated Salary: $80,000-$90,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Process the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual withholding payments through Treasury, Single Point and internal systems as well as handling both Federal and State filings.
  • Analyzing and reporting sales and use tax monthly. 
  • Annual 1099 withholdings filings for both Federal and State agencies. 
  • Reconciliation of all credit card accounts and preparing them for monthly payments. Being able to research and resolve any issues the occur and strategize for process improvements.  
  • Oversees required activities including but not limited to accounts reconciliations, journal entries, posting, ledger balancing, and internal balancing for financial systems while maintaining accurate and timely completions.  
  • Ensures audit inquiries are responded to in a timely and professional manner.
  • Leverage company initiatives, including AI‑Copilot, to help streamline tasks, identify OpEx opportunities, and improve overall efficiency and accuracy.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Proven experience in finance analysis and understanding, specifically in resolution of federal and state notifications resolutions. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.  
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.  
  • Strong communications, high accountability, interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross functionable teams.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico. 
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to continuously expand skillsets through advanced technology tools, including effective use of AI‑Copilot.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
  • Able to travel occasionally (approximately 5–10% annually) to attend events and in-person meetings (travel reimbursed).

PREFERRED:

  • Federal/ State Withholding experience. 
  • Advanced excel and technical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines.
