The Associate HR Specialist plays an important role in supporting key HR programs and services that impact employees across the organization. This position provides administrative and operational support within Benefits and Health Services while ensuring accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about helping employees navigate HR processes related to benefits, leave administration, and health services programs. Working closely with internal and external business partners, this role contributes to daily operations, reporting, and special projects while gaining valuable experience across multiple HR functions.

  • Estimated Pay: $25.50 - $32.00 per hour, plus annual bonus opportunity. 
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Support HR programs and processes while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and confidentiality.
  • Process and maintain HR transactions and records related to benefits, leave administration, and employee services.
  • Analyze and summarize HR data to support reporting, issue resolution, and departmental initiatives.
  • Provide responsive customer service and guidance to employees and business partners on HR programs and policies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, reporting, and special projects within Benefits and Health Services.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Experience applying policies, procedures, and business practices in a professional environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, including supporting presentation creation, document development, and administrative tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines under pressure while working effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and technology skills with the ability to learn HR systems and travel up to 10% as needed.
  • You promote a collaborative culture, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Able to work at our office located in Omaha, NE in a hybrid environment.
