Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company has an immediate full-time opening in our Treasury department for a self-motivated, and results-oriented analyst responsible for bank, custody, and merchant fees analysis and trends, day-to-day banking operations as well as serve as backup for cash forecast, cash positioning, funding, and processing transactions. WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU: 

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications)
    • Finance Analyst: $59,000-$70,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.
    • Senior Finance Analyst: $80,000-$84,000, plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the Hawkeye bank account analysis database; liaise with technical bank contacts to ensure timely and accurate delivery of electronic bank fee analysis statements.
  • Perform detailed analysis of bank fees (monthly, quarterly, annual) and oversee the review, approval, and payment of bank fees, ensuring accuracy in services and charges.
  • Support daily cash position analysis, monitor liquidity needs, manage excess cash/investments, and oversee borrowing and funding transactions.
  • Manage merchant cards, resolve fraud issues, and perform Treasury bank fee GL account reviews, including budget variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Assist with funds transfer approvals, treasury-related documentation, issue resolution, and ad hoc projects while providing backup support to treasury operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Intermediate understanding of finance/accounting practices, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong analytical and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication tailored to various audiences, with strong interpersonal skills for collaboration.
  • Sound judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Ability to work at our home office located in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment. 

PREFERRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a finance-related field, with expertise in bank processes, banking products, and treasury workstations (preferably Gtreasury).
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and familiarity with forecasting and trend analysis.
  • Strong ability to analyze financial data and support strategic decision-making.
