We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven professional to support and grow distribution efforts for Group Insurance Dental and Vision products. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong partnerships across the Group Insurance Distribution Channel, identifying and executing strategies to promote product sales and positioning, and providing ongoing support to group offices and distribution management. The individual will lead initiatives and direct workstreams that enhance field execution, while also creating strategic goals and execution plans to expand distribution activities and drive business growth.

  • Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • May plan, organize, staff, lead and control department activities including: planning projects and capital and human resource budgets, interviewing, selecting staff; monitors and appraises performance of direct reports to hold them accountable for the end results including human resource management; coaching and motivating direct reports; administering disciplinary action as needed; administering compensation to direct reports; ensuring compliance with affirmative action guidelines.
  • Explain and discuss products, benefits, services, rate structure, reporting advantages, and operations.
  • Coordinate and monitor distribution channel activities, setting up and assisting distribution channel representatives in meeting performance standards and profit goals, and providing guidance on marketing products.
  • Develop and Manage a market competitor strategy, including the build out of tools and analysis to support sales positioning.
    Identify, coordinate and execute additional field training needs for each product working closely with key field individual and internal areas.
  • Determine additional product and sales positioning pieces needed and help bring to execution - includes but is not limited to competitor comparisons, presentations, marketing materials, sales positioning pieces. Lead execution of these deliverables.
  • Identify additional product enhancements/changes and gaps for priority to determine synergy and execution amongst other field projects and initiatives. Lead and Work with internal teams to execute.
  • Lead office and/or broker visits to support the sale of the above products - including helping to organize group meetings at the group office discretion.
  • Assist with the development of finalist presentations for the purposes of selling new business. Provide ongoing support as needed to group offices.
  • Partner with internal areas for the purposes of identifying and implementing new product enhancements and needs as warranted to support sales distribution.
  • Manage and distribute support activity tasks for the purposes of achieving deadlines and supporting execution of sales objectives
    Participate in and help coordinate industry events for the purposes of contributing knowledge and insight to the overall growth of the division's objectives
  • Lead and execute identified projects and initiatives for the purposes of supporting the sales distribution.
  • Manage personal travel and entertainment expenses to budget. Manage team expenses to budget.
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of company's products, policies and services.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Strong experience and extensive knowledge of Dental and Vision Group Insurance products, design, administration, and marketing.
  • Demonstrated success and ability to build relationships with sales personnel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation and negotiation skills, and sound judgment
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the work period and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and projects.
  • At least 4+ years of Group Insurance experience

PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of competitors' products and positioning
  • Management experience within a team environment
