In this role, you’ll spend your day building strong relationships with key clients, providing expert guidance on employee benefits, and collaborating across teams to solve complex challenges. By leading enrollment initiatives and ensuring seamless service, you’ll help deliver value that sets us apart in the marketplace. 

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications):  
    • Sr Account Manager $85,000 – $100,000, plus annual bonus opportunity 
    • Account Executive $95,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity 
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Be the go-to advisor for key clients by delivering day-to-day support and long-term benefit strategies, building trust through onsite visits, proactive communication, and expert issue resolution. 
  • Collaborate with purpose—partner across internal teams and with brokers to deliver seamless service, drive retention, and support everything from enrollment education to premium accuracy. 
  • Make an impact through strategy by leading enrollment initiatives, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and delivering results that grow premium and reduce costs. 
  • Showcase your expertise in plan design, contracts, and tools—while also empowering others through broker training, Salesforce tracking, and consultative guidance. 
  • Lead with influence by solving complex service challenges, mentoring new team members, and strengthening long-term client relationships that drive growth and satisfaction. 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Proven experience with 3+ years in group benefits account management or 5+ in client services, preferably in direct broker/customer-facing roles, with strong knowledge of group insurance products, systems, and distribution channels. 
  • Exceptional communicator and collaborator with outstanding presentation, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, working closely with sales and internal teams to deliver results. 
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking with the ability to manage competing priorities, offer solutions, and drive goal-oriented outcomes in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Detail-oriented and organized, demonstrating ownership, adaptability, and the ability to lead through change while managing compliance and supporting benefits administration needs. 
  • Trusted relationship builder who acts with integrity, leads with influence, and drives Mutual of Omaha’s service value through innovation, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellence. 
  • State Life, Accident and Health license for all states within the office’s assigned territory or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. 
  • Ability to travel up to 30-35%.
