Contribute to the generation and retention of Group Insurance premium income through the attainment of specific sales quotas. Performance is measured by attainment of personal sales quotas.

Type of Products Sold and/or Serviced: Group Life, STD, LTD, Dental, & Voluntary Products


  • Attain annually established sales quotas.
  • Maintain contact and develop relationships with employee benefit specialists, brokers, consultants, actuaries, accounting firms, and third party administrators, or contact prospective group clients directly to develop and establish rapport conducive to the Company being considered for bidding on group insurance contracts. 
  • Personally present group insurance plan, obtain all proposal information, and negotiate for optimal contract provisions. Deliver all contract information to major account clients to install coverages and direct administration of contract procedures. 
  • Inform sales/service support staff of prospective clients. Oversee completion of contract proposals and paper workflow throughout the Field and Home Office. 
  • Stay abreast of industry and government changes affecting group insurance and maintain an awareness of existing and developing market trends.

  • Licensed agent/producer
  • Ability to meet ongoing continuing education requirements
  • Successful sales experience, evidenced by previous attainment of sales quotas
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and negotiation skills
  • Thorough understanding of group insurance products, marketing techniques, and procedures for underwriting, rating, policy and contract issuance, and claims
  • Working knowledge of competitor products and services
  • Ability to travel outside of the office conducting sales at least 80% of each work week and has a valid driver's license
  • Access to reliable transportation in order to attend meetings on short notice and travel within assigned territory.
