The Jr. Investment Analyst will support the alternatives investments team in the coverage of private equity, real estate and private credit strategies. The candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with two experienced private markets experts as well as benefit from the broad investment team’s expertise across asset classes. Participates in the process of sourcing, selecting and managing financial assets for the Enterprise including but not limited to  alternatives, private markets and credit. Provides support to the credit and/or fund research function and delivers valued investment services to our partners through effective collaboration, engagement and communication.   • Participates in the analysis of potential investment opportunities by understanding the basic components of an offering memorandum, helping support industry and/or asset class research, having a basic understanding of a company's capital structure and financial position, beginning to analyze comparable investment opportunities, developing an ability to assess and interact with company management and exploring other unique features of an opportunity.
  • Provides research support and monitors market or economic data that may affect credit quality, internal ratings and/or prices for fixed income investments and/or fund positions held within the portfolio.
  • Participates in group discussions held to generate value added investment ideas.
  • Engages and actively participates in skill development, which includes learning the important features of industries and/or asset classes and understanding how effective communication of industry research is important to the overall success of Investment Management.
  • Coordinates with investment operations and other business units within the Enterprise so as to ensure the appropriate maintenance of files, databases and recordkeeping.
  • Develops an understanding of proper documentation for regulatory and compliance purposes. Applies learning of documentation processes to ensure files are easily found, understood and maintained by others.


  •  Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, pride and ownership of work product, strength of conviction and desire to succeed.
  • Sound ethics and integrity.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills; desire to help Investment Management achieve strategic goals.
  • Ability to learn how others make judgments regarding risk and valuation.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

  • Must be located in United States or Puerto Rico


  • Experience with financial statement analysis.
  • Strong Excel financial modeling and Power Point skills. 
  • Demonstrates an interest in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program or the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) program.
