Develops and implements brand communication strategies and materials that grow, protect, and reinforce Mutual of Omaha's brand. Utilizes social media and multiple media channels to engage digital audiences through effective communications.


  • Supports and advances Company's brand with digital audiences through the creative development and execution of effective social media strategies and content. Regularly reviews industry information to develop best practices for branding, social media and communications.
  • Collaborates on the development of the social media strategy and leads implementation including creating and managing the social media content calendar and writing content and posts for digital channels.
  • Develops editorial calendar with compelling and engaging social media communications programs and materials using a variety of media including digital, video, visual and presentations.
  • Performs daily management of social media platforms to include posting relevant content and engaging digital audiences.
  • Analyzes the engagement rate of posts and advertising campaigns on social media platforms. Utilizes results to inform on methods or tools for further posts and/or campaigns.
  • Partners closely with Brand Marketing colleagues on content development and sharing of content, creation of communication materials, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Supports the development of newsletter articles, emails and other written communications using creative design elements to help translate organizational and strategic messages.
  • Actively supports the brand through participation on cross-functional committees and bring innovative ideas forward for engaging digital audiences through communications.
  • Curates relevant content to ensure the Wild Kingdom Website is up to date.
  • Stays current on advances in technology, style, and color in the design industry and brings forward ideas to further enhance communication tools and processes.

  • You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.
  • Professional knowledge of and 1- 3 years experience in communications and social media.
  • Ability to work independently and cross functionally across the organization in a highly collaborative manner.
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing digital communications.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities and initiative.
  • Strong innovative and demonstrative creative skills.
  • Ability to translate complex messages into easy to understand visuals and communications. Strong interpersonal; ability to influence.
  • Ability to meet stringent deadlines using prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Yammer SharePoint), Photoshop or Illustrator.
  • If remote, must have access to high-speed internet.
  • Ability to Travel up to 10%


  • Experience developing brand related content.
  • Experience with digital communications tools such as Sprout Social, Meltwater, WordPress, and/or Google Analytics.
  • Experience managing social media for an insurance or financial institution.

  • Salary Range: $55,920 - $70,000.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
