Performs Supervisor functions to include planning, staffing, directing, developing, and maintaining efficient operations in Policyowner Services. Develops and maintains an engaged, fair, and equitable customer focused work environment. Directly responsible for the development of frontline associates. Accountable for the business results of the area in compliance with applicable policies, procedures, guidelines, and laws.


  • Develops and demonstrates strong leadership skills in the areas of talent, visionary and business leadership.
  • Direct oversight of Policyowner Services activities to include; interviewing, selecting and training of frontline associates, monitoring and appraising performance of direct reports to hold them accountable for end results including: human resource management, coaching and motivating direct reports and administering disciplinary action and compensation as needed; ensuring Policyowner Services complies with applicable human resource guidelines.
  • Leads and/or participates in special projects; budget planning, management and reconciliation.
  • Evaluates and implements risk strategies that help optimize operations in alignment with maintaining the financial viability of the organization.
  • Ensures all daily activities support the Division efforts to meet or exceed corporate policies, procedures and/or directives.
  • Ensures all new legislation, mandates and legal requirements are analyzed and information is disseminated to the appropriate functional areas for review and implementation.
  • Identifies areas of noncompliance, developing procedures to modify and/or enhance existing processes and initiates corrective action.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify business opportunities and ensure support and attainment of department and Corporate goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with Underwriting & Claims departments on activities, ensures proper selection of risk is adhered to through policies/procedures and collaborates with cross-functional groups as appropriate to develop additional Underwriting policies and procedures when areas of risk are determined.
  • Ability to maintain composure while handling complex, legal situations; ability to evaluate and present the Company's processes to the Department of Insurance.
  • Leads and participates in project activities initiated to enhance the customer and associate experience/satisfaction, corporate profitability, and business metrics.
  • Analyzes trends and changes across Policyowner Services based on customer feedback and insurance industry best practices; develops and executes plans related to improving Operational Excellence and risk mitigation.
  • Leads and supports Operational Excellence to include daily management, business transformation activities, and process simplification.
  • Collaborates with Underwriting & Claims departments on activities, ensures proper selection of risk is adhered to through policies/procedures and collaborates with cross-functional groups as appropriate to develop additional Underwriting policies and procedures when areas of risk are determined.

  • Seasoned insurance background with knowledge of the Company's products and distributions to include strong knowledge of process, risk, and control environment.
  • Knowledge of business processing functions including systems technology and related federal and state regulations.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of computer systems simultaneously such as web tools, policy administration systems and Microsoft products, with proficient keyboarding skills.

  • Salary Range: $62,654 - $81,451.
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
