Dagny Knutson

Dagny on where you come from

“It doesn’t matter where you come from, small town or big city, you can be great. Believe in yourself. Believe in your dreams!”

It wasn’t enough for 17-year-old North Dakotan Dagny Knutson to dominate the 2009 Junior Nationals – she earned seven medals, six of them gold and broke a 30-year-old national age group record in the 200m free held by Sippy Woodhead – oh no. This up-and-comer continued 2009 at the next level and made her mark at two international events.
