Dwyer and Leverenz Win Big in Arena Pro Swim Series
With 61 points, Mutual of Omaha Gold Medal Team (GMT) member Conor Dwyer secured the 2014-15 Arena Pro Swim Series men's title for the second straight year, earning a $10,000 series championship bonus from USA Swimming.
Dwyer and fellow GMT member, Caitlin Leverenz, who placed second to Hungary's Katinka Hosszu, were the top U.S. finishers in the series. Each are eligible to receive a one-year lease for a BMW ActiveHybrid 3, courtesy of USA Swimming partner BMW.
Dwyer won five events and added 11 runner-up finishes. Leverenz placed first in three events and second eight times en route to a total of 43 points. Participants were awarded points in each individual Olympic event throughout the duration of the Series (Five points for first, three for second, one point for third place).
