Swartwood Promoted at Mutual of Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (April 14, 2020) – Amy Swartwood has been promoted to Vice President of Finance at Mutual of Omaha. She provides integration, separation and transition management expertise for Mutual’s current and future organizational alignment efforts. In addition to managing the corporate insurance and capital projects team, Swartwood serves on the Leadership Team tasked with developing and managing the Finance and Accounting talent development program.

Swartwood joined Mutual of Omaha in 2013 as the Director of Special Assets for Mutual of Omaha Bank. She was promoted to the Director of Operational Risk Management for Mutual of Omaha Bank and then was recruited for the same role within Mutual of Omaha. In 2018, Swartwood was named Director of Insurance Risk Management.

Swartwood has more than 17 years of finance and risk management experience. Before joining Mutual of Omaha, she was employed in finance and risk management positions at both Security National Bank and Bank of the West.

Swartwood received a bachelor’s degree from Midland Lutheran College. She earned a master’s degree in Finance from Bellevue University and graduated from the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University.

Swartwood is a board member at Girls Inc. of Omaha and member of the Enterprise Risk Management committee for the Mid-America Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
