Melton Promoted at Mutual of Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (Jan. 15, 2021) – Charles Melton has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Mutual of Omaha. In this role, he directs the Financial Planning and Analysis function for all product lines, which includes delivery of segment profitability and expense analysis; GAAP and SAP financial planning and forecasting; and business driver insights.

Melton joined Mutual in 1996 as an Actuarial Assistant. He left the company in 1999 and worked at AEGON in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he focused on individual life insurance pricing, modeling and valuation. Melton then joined Lincoln Financial in Omaha, Nebraska, holding a variety of positions in their group business, the last of which was leading the group insurance finance team.

Melton rejoined Mutual in 2015 as Director, Corporate Actuarial. He was promoted to Vice President and Actuary, Corporate Actuarial in 2017, where he led the individual health modeling and valuation team.

Melton earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries.
