What is NorthSTAR?
NorthSTAR (North Students Training for Adult Roles) is a mentoring program developed from a partnership between Information Services and Omaha North High School – an Omaha Public Schools computer magnet school.
The NorthSTAR program offers you the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of high school students as they begin thinking about their future by introducing them to different facets of the business world, as well as the community.
How Does NorthSTAR Work?
NorthSTAR is a program that pairs North students with mentors. These relationships allow the students to see the “working world” firsthand – and help them successfully get started down the path toward their future career.
Through monthly group activities centered around business, secondary education, community service and social events, you have the opportunity to present students with a variety of career options.
