Who needs a prescription drug plan?
As you consider your need for a prescription drug plan, you may find it helpful to answer these questions:
- What prescription drugs are you currently taking?
- What do they cost you each month and year?
- Will you be able to budget for any changes in your prescription drug needs (i.e. if your prescriptions needs/costs go up)?
Who is eligible to apply for a Part D plan?
People who are entitled to Medicare Part A or enrolled in Part B may apply for a Part D plan, including those who are under age 65 with a disability on Medicare. Income doesn’t matter unless a person is enrolling for the government subsidy.
