Mutual of Omaha is one of the nation’s largest providers of intercollegiate athletics insurance. Our experienced underwriting staff, strong case management and history of financial stability enable NAIA schools to purchase our products with confidence.

We currently provide blanket high limit accident medical expense coverage (Catastrophic Accident Medical) to all NAIA college athletes. In addition, Mutual of Omaha can also help you with your Basic Accident Medical coverage needs. Our Basic Accident Medical plans provide excess basic medical insurance designed to cover intercollegiate sports-related injury costs that exceed the limits of other insurance plans or Workers’ Compensation coverage.

Basic Accident Medical coverage is provided for:

• Intercollegiate Sports—Student athletes, managers, trainers, coaches and cheerleaders are eligible. Coverage is provided while participating in intercollegiate athletic competition that is authorized, sanctioned or scheduled, including school-supervised practice, game-related activities, and related covered travel.
• Club Sports—All student athletes participating in club sports are eligible. Coverage is provided while participating in scheduled games, supervised practice sessions, and during authorized team travel that is paid for or reimbursed by the participating school in connection with such games or practice sessions.
• Intramural Sports—All student athletes participating in intramural sports are eligible. Coverage is provided while participating in scheduled intramural games.
