Healthy Pregnancy
Our Health Pregnancy program promotes the overall health of mother and child during pregnancy and after delivery. The program provides:
- Assessment and follow-up by a registered nurse
- Specialized high-risk pregnancy care management
- Pre- and post-delivery telephone support
- An infant care book and baby bib
- Management of at-risk newborns
Materials
- Healthy Pregnancy education kit, including a pregnancy book, calendar and guides which promote good health
- Specialized pregnancy education material for women with specialized health needs, such as controlling diabetes or hypertension
- Specialized pregnancy care management from obstetrical nurses who work with the plan member's physician and coordinate services to promote good health
