Fred returned to the victory column twice in 2012, winning the Insperity Championship and the Greater Hickory Classic. In his long career, Fred has eight PGA Tour victories, including his signature win at the 2007 Players Championship, as well as eight titles on the Champions Tour. Before Fred joined the PGA Tour, he was the golf coach at the University of Maryland from 1982 to 1988 and is inducted into the school’s athletic hall of fame.
