Healthy Pregnancy Program
Our Healthy Pregnancy program promotes the overall health of mother and child during pregnancy and after delivery. The program provides:
- Assessment and follow-up by a registered nurse
- Specialized high-risk pregnancy care management
- Pre-and post-delivery telephone calls
- An infant-care book and baby bib
- Evaluation of member satisfaction
- Management of at-risk newborns
- Access to health and wellness materials
Materials
- Healthy Pregnancy Education Kit: includes a pregnancy book, calendar and guides which promote good health through pregnancy
- Specialized Pregnancy Educational Material: for women with specialized health needs, such as controlling diabetes or hypertension through pregnancy
- Specialized Pregnancy Care Management: obstetrical nurses work with the patient's physician, coordinating services to promote good health throughout pregnancy
