Our Nurse Support Services program assists employees in determining how to best spend their health care dollars by giving them health information and directing them to the most appropriate level of care based on their symptoms. On average, more than 52 percent of individuals are redirected to a lower cost level of service than they originally intended to use.
Nurse Triage Service. Plan members can call 24/7 to receive health triage services or just to ask questions. Specially-trained nurses provide self-care instructions and direct individuals to the appropriate level of care.
Audio Library. Plan members can access more than 1,000 health care topics through an interactive voice response system.
Web Tools. The Nurse Support Services Web site provides several tools, including a symptom advisor, Ask-a-Nurse e-mail, health tracker and clinical reference system.
Employers receive a monthly utilization report via secure Internet access.
