Mutual of Omaha is one of five companies that established the City of Omaha’s annual Diversity Week, which began in 2009. The purpose of the week's events are to recognize the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace as well as raise Omaha’s profile as a community that seeks out and welcomes diverse talent.
The events are designed to bring together community leaders, employees and students through workshops, roundtable discussions and community outreach projects. These activities provide a forum for networking and the opportunity to learn and share best practices for how to improve diversity and inclusion within Omaha’s businesses, schools and community.
From community partnerships and involvement to membership and board leadership, Mutual of Omaha is actively affiliated with numerous organizations and groups that support the diverse needs of the communities we serve.
These affiliations provide a unique opportunity for Mutual of Omaha employees to understand, and get involved, with diversity and inclusion on a personal level. Many partnerships also serve to educate, recruit and expose diverse individuals to potential job opportunities at Mutual of Omaha.
