Omaha, Neb. – (July 7, 2009) Mutual of Omaha led the nation in voluntary insurance sales growth in 2008 with a 45.7 percent increase in annual new business premium, according to a study by Eastbridge Consulting Group Inc.
Eastbridge recently recognized Mutual as Voluntary Sales Growth Leader in the Large Carrier Category.
Voluntary insurance products are offered through employers, and those electing to receive the coverage pay the full premium through payroll deduction. Mutual of Omaha’s voluntary insurance products include life, long-term disability, short-term disability, dental and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Companies receiving the recognition must lead in 2008 sales growth as well as have exceeded the industry growth rate for each of the last three years.
