Omaha, Neb. – (June 3, 2009) Mutual of Omaha has introduced the next generation of long-term care insurance products with more product options and enhanced features to address a variety of sales situations.

Two LTC product portfolios available from Mutual of Omaha (Mutual Care® Plus) and United of Omaha (United LTCi Solutions) offer:

  • Pre-packaged plans for agents and clients who prefer the simplicity and affordability of packaged benefits.
  • Customizable products that allow agents the flexibility of building a plan to meet a clients’ specific needs.
  • Individual and Multi-life products for those who specialize in the small business market.

Two distinctive product features include modified guaranteed issue underwriting available on multi-life products and a single premium option available on individual products. All products offer a built-in cash benefit feature, which provides cash on the first day of qualified need with no elimination period to be satisfied. This feature allows the flexibility to:

  • Choose to receive policy benefits as cash or traditional reimbursement.
  • Use the cash option to pay for anything - family travel expenses, lost income for a family caregiver, housekeeping services or other out-of-pocket costs.
  • Stay at home longer while determining a formal plan of care.
