Omaha, Neb. – (February 27, 2008) United of Omaha Life Insurance Company, an affiliate of Mutual of Omaha, will introduce more competitively priced Medicare supplement policies in several states this year.
United of Omaha Medicare supplement policies are now available in South Carolina and West Virginia. Medicare supplement and Medicare Select plans from United of Omaha are also now available in Ohio. By year’s end, plans are expected to be approved in up to eleven other states. In addition to the same service offered by Mutual of Omaha, the United of Omaha policies offer the following new features:
- A household discount for eligible applicants who live with a spouse, friend or sibling who owns a Medicare supplement policy from Mutual of Omaha, United of Omaha or United World Life Insurance Company
- Additional underwriting classes in some states to help keep rates low for healthier clients
- A two-person application, enabling clients in the same household to apply at the same time
- A rate calculation worksheet
