Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom Explores the World of Penguins
OMAHA, Neb., September 5, 2014 – The fascinating world of penguins is the focus of the newest installment of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom on the web.
Wild Guide Stephanie Arne gets up-close and personal with the king, rockhopper and gentoo penguins of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium in Wild Kingdom’s latest series of web videos.
”With their unique tuxedo coloring, cute waddle and stubby wings, penguins are a Wild Kingdom fan favorite,“ Arne said. “They are also one of my favorite creatures and one of the first I worked with when I was beginning my career. I was thrilled to get the opportunity to swim with them while filming Wild Kingdom.”
Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom web series kicked off last year as part of its 50th anniversary celebration. The second installment of the Wild Kingdom web series features shorter, more focused videos with a wealth of supporting content as well as unique social media content for Wild Kingdom’s Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Instagram and Pinterest communities.
Other topics Wild Kingdom is exploring in the second installment of its web series include:
- The complex and fascinating world of elephants featuring the Fort Worth Zoo’s three-generation elephant herd
- Cheetahs and the incredible bond between a young cheetah and the Labrador retriever it is being raised with at the Dallas Zoo
- Giraffes, including their incredible tongue, massive neck, unique behavior and the Dallas Zoo’s multi-species savannah habitat.
