Frank L. Hayes Elected to Companion Board of Directors

OMAHA, Neb., January 17, 2012 – Frank L. Hayes has been elected to the Companion Life Insurance Company Board of Directors, Mutual of Omaha Chairman and CEO Dan Neary announced. Companion, headquartered in Lynbrook, N.Y. is an affiliate company of Mutual of Omaha.

Hayes is the owner and president of Hayes & Associates, LLC, a CPA and consulting firm he founded in 1983 in Omaha, Neb. He has more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, including previous roles as the director of the tax department at Grant Thornton CPAs and an internal revenue agent for the Internal Revenue Service.

With a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Creighton University in Omaha, Hayes also is a graduate of the Small Business Executive Education Program at Clark Atlanta University and the Minority Business Executive Program at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.

Hayes is a member of the executive committee and board of directors of the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce; a member of the Creighton University Board of Trustees, where he serves on the Student Services, Finance and Audit committees; a member of the board for the Greater Omaha Business Ethics Alliance; Development Chair for 100 Black Men of Omaha, Inc.; Vice Chair of Finance for 100 Black Men of America; and Treasurer of the Board for Museum Kaneko in Omaha.
