As the 2008 U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials come to Omaha, Neb., some of the country’s brightest young athletes will compete to achieve their Olympic dream. Inspired by their hard work, determination and focus, Mutual of Omaha decided to encourage Omaha area youth to pursue dreams of their own.
Working with the Nebraska Arts Council, professional artists were matched with three community organizations – Camp Fire USA, Girls Inc. and the Hope Center for Kids. Together, they worked to create original pieces of art that represent the goals and aspirations of tomorrow's champions.
Each piece of artwork has been purchased by Mutual of Omaha and donated back to the community partners for use in their organizations. After making an appearance at the "Aqua Zone" at the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, the art will be permanently displayed at the organizations to remind youth to continue to reach for their dreams.
