HALO Club

Founded in 1948, HALO Club is Mutual of Omaha's employee-sponsored philanthropic organization. HALO is an acronym for Health, Accident and Life Organization - representing Mutual of Omaha's three primary areas of business at the time HALO was established.

Operating independent of the company, HALO is dedicated to assisting individuals and families in the Omaha metropolitan area with financial needs. Because of the generosity of Mutual employees who make voluntary financial contributions, HALO is able to provide aid to thousands each year through various ways, including:

• Helping families stay warm with energy bill assistance
• Helping fire and flood victims who are left with nothing
• Helping families keep their house with rent and mortgage aid
• Helping a mother afford a funeral for her son

During the holiday season, the club organizes a special Thanksgiving food basket drive for needy families. Last year, the club raised funds for more than 300 food baskets.
