City of Omaha Diversity Week
Mutual of Omaha is one of four companies that came together in 2009 to sponsor the City of Omaha's first Diversity Week. The purpose of the week was to create an annual event that recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and raises Omaha's profile as a community that seeks out and welcomes diverse talent.
Over the course of one week, community leaders, employees and students came together to sponsor workshops, roundtable discussions and community outreach projects. The activities provided a forum for networking and the opportunity to learn and share best practices for how to improve diversity and inclusion within Omaha's businesses, schools and community.
