Black Executive Exchange Program
Mutual of Omaha has been an active supporter of the National Urban League's Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP), sponsored by the National Urban League.
The vision of the program is to be the instrument through which African American college students reach their full potential. Through BEEP, business professionals from leading corporations and government agencies lecture on a wide range of business, technology and career subjects.
Along with the Urban League of Nebraska, Mutual of Omaha was one of the corporations involved in forming BEEP at the University of Nebraska - Omaha in 2002. Mutual of Omaha has two executives currently supporting both local and national BEEP involvement.
Through Mutual of Omaha's involvement, the company has sent representatives to several nationwide events, including the Fifth Annual Conference at Southern University A&M College of Business in Baton Rouge, La.; Tennessee State University BEEP Conference; Alabama State Conference and the 35th Annual BEEP Conference in Miami.
Mutual of Omaha also has hosted a Young Professional's reception for BEEP.
